Shannon Sedgwick

Economic Research Assistant
Kyser Center for Economic Research

Joining the team in June of 2008, Shannon Sedgwick assists both the Economic Research and Consulting Departments here at LAEDC with data collection and research. She manages data sets for Economic Research covering the State of California, Southern California, its counties and their sub-regions. She is responsible for the annual “L.A. Stats” report containing the most frequently requested statistics for Los Angeles and surrounding counties. As a member of LAEDC’s Consulting team, Ms. Sedgwick develops subject-specific information and data for economic impact, industry and issue studies.

Prior to joining LAEDC, Ms. Sedgwick managed an industrial and steel supply company located in the Inland Empire. There she identified and targeted a diverse customer base, and analyzed product and customer patterns in the local industrial market to successfully increase revenues.

Ms. Sedgwick received her Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of Southern California (USC) with a minor in architecture. She is a member of the Los Angeles Chapter of the National Association for Business Economics (NABE).

She is a California native and resides here in Los Angeles.
