Welcome to Business Assistance
This section provides information to new businesses wanting to establish operations in Los Angeles County, or existing businesses seeking business assistance services. California has always been known as an "incubator" of new ideas, new products and entrepreneurial spirit. Southern California, and especially Los Angeles County, has led the way in celebrating and nurturing that spirit. As the world's 16th largest economy and a highly diversified economic base, Los Angeles County is emerging as the leading business, trade and cultural center for the 21st century. At the LAEDC's Business Assistance Department, our goal is "Attracting, Retaining, and Expanding businesses within the County of Los Angeles." The LAEDC is uniquely positioned to help expanding businesses take full advantage of all that Los Angeles has to offer. Through a broad-based coalition of chambers of commerce, trade organizations, business associations, and government officials, the LAEDC's team of economic-development professionals offer confidential, free-of-charge information. This information and assistance is offered to decision-makers and consultants representing both significant large and small, domestic and international businesses in all industry sectors. The Business Assistance department's staff is dedicated to providing business assistance services and answering any of your inquiries. Our services include help with permitting, incentives, workforce development, and financing assistance, as well as project management and connections to public/private resources, cities and regional EDCs. Our regional managers cover specific regions of the county and are available to provide assistance to existing businesses or new businesses that fall within their geographic region. Our business assistance coordinator can provide macro LA County demographic, economic and real-estate information as well as customized site searches. In addition, our business services coordinator can assist with basic information and referrals to area service providers.
