6:30 p.m. Cocktail reception and silent auction. 7:30 p.m. Dinner and program. At the Beverly Hilton, Beverly Hills.

Confirmed honoree: Rick Caruso, developer of The Grove and the Americana. Now accepting application for the Most Business-Friendly City Award in L.A. County.

The Eddy Awards® is a cocktail, dinner, and awards gala to support fulfillment of the LAEDC mission to attract, retain, and grow businesses and jobs for the regions of Los Angeles County. The Awards were introduced by the LAEDC in 1996 to celebrate individuals, organizations, and now cities that demonstrate exceptional contributions to positive economic development in the region.

JASC is a unique academic and cultural exchange program that alternates between the U.S. and Japan each summer. Prominent alumni include the late Prime Minister Miyazawa, Henry Kissinger, and more than 40 U.S. and Japanese company presidents. The JASC program is unique because they are planned and administered by the students themselves. This year the 36 American and 36 Japanese delegates will be in the U.S. from July 25 to August 21 visiting Reed College, UCLA, University of Montana and Harvard.

11:00 a.m. Shotgun Start, 4:30 p.m. Reception/Silent Auction, 5:30pm Awards Dinner Banquet at Rolling Hills Country Club, (27000 Palos Verdes Drive East), Rolling Hills Estate. $300 Individual Participants. $60 Reception and Awards Dinner Only - Includes complimentary Raffle Prize tickets.

Since 1968 the Japan America Golf Classic has been a sold out event, drawing more than 100 participating companies and a full tournament of Japanese and American business people. It is a high profile event that fosters business relationship building between Japanese and Americans.

The tournament will be held concurrently with the 4th Annual Japan America Tennis Open that also takes place at RHCC. 12 noon start time. $125 Individual Player. $100 Individuals accompanying a golfer playing in the Japan America Golf Classic. $100 Per Player for two (2) or more.

The 5th Annual San Gabriel Valley Awards Gala

The Annual Awards Gala honors outstanding individuals and organizations in the San Gabriel Valley who are making a significant contribution to the quality of life and economic vitality of the region. Honorees to include John Fasana, Puente Hills Mall, Hafif Family Foundation, the Orchestra of Pasadena, Michael J. Viera, Ph.D., Tim Brick, Methodist Hospital, and Blaine Fetter.
